Starting a blog to detail my journey through travel has always been on my bucket list; what better way to launch a blog than to detail the hopefully incredible 6 weeks I am currently spending in Ghana all Summer '18? I figured this would be the best time to face my fears and do something different and unique for a change, so here we are with #LetHerB, a blog which I hope would connect my travel experiences through pictures and storytelling. My hope for this blog is for my readers to be inspired to overcome any fear they may have, to live life and to be #BoutDatLife in whatever capacity they see fit. For me, traveling to a country for 6 weeks is a scary ordeal, especially for it to be my first real international experience (cruises excluded) but I realize through connections with so many people that even the domestic traveling I've done has been something worth documenting.

#LetHerB is a way to encourage people to let everyone be whatever they want and to support them without judgement. In my case, I want to be a traveling queen, and I want to make connections with people from all over the world. I want to be my true authentic self while learning about the authenticity of others. This is what I want the world to let me do. I not only want to inspire people to travel, I want to inspire them to face their fears in any way possible. I think my life journey can serve as a inspirational component towards that. Hopefully my readers feel the same way!

So, here we go....the start of a blog about my current Ghanaian experience. 6 weeks with people I barely know in a country of people that look like me. I'm nervous, excited and exhausted as I type this from my room in Winneba, Ghana but I really think this journey is worth sharing. I hope you will enjoy my story!
